The expedition section of the award will expose the participants to a degree of risk, some of which is beyond the ability of the best of us to forecast, our staff are Mountain Leaders first and DofE leaders secondly putting safety first as a priority for all.

Our leaders operate to our comprehensive Standard Operating Proceedures, which outline our training programe and standards; they are experts in monitoring and assessing the abilities of teams and individuals. They know how to give the appropriate amount of direct and distance supervision, to effectively maintain safety whilst preserving the independent nature of the experience for all participants.

All of our leaders are personally known and vetted by us, hold CRB/DBS checks to an enhanced level, current first aid certificates to level 2 and the necessary MLTUK qualifications to supervise teams in wild country.
