The Vanoise is an unspoilt and less frequented area of the French Alps.
Easily accessible by low cost airlines from a number of UK airports and just a short journey by private coach from Geneva this area is very popular as a venue for groups/schools who want a slightly easier expedition in beautiful mountainous surroundings.
From mid-July the late snow patches should have disappeared and the weather settled to give groups access to a four day round trip that will take them through some of the best scenery this area has to offer. Camping is next to mountain refuges each night so full support is available at all times.
Although there is still significant height gains the paths are well maintained and generally signposted to ease any navigation issues.
The expedition will be based in Pralognan la Vanoise, a beautiful small alpine town which is well serviced with small shops and restaurants, gear shops and comfortable campsites.
