The Tour of Mnt Blanc is justifiably regarded as one of the greatest mountain walks in the world, it crosses three countries, covers 112 miles and it can be completed by anyone with moderate fitness.
From mid July the high passes should be clear of snow, the weather settled and the walking season well underway
A DofE expedition can encompass the whole journey or just a part of the tour, the choice is up to you, your group, your time and budget constraints. Whatever your decision, this location provides the opportunity for a real classic journey that can also be used to complete the expedition section of the award. The route is well travelled by many people, paths are good, campsites are to a high standard and virtually everyone of the night stops can be accessed by vehicle to ensure a comprehensive support.
There are also varying options which allows us to set a route which is appropriate to the ability of the group.
The area is easily accessed by private coach or public transport from Geneva airport which itself is serviced by several low-cost airlines from the various airports in the UK.
