Corsica is a very beautiful and wild island with steep, rocky mountains offering stunning views over the Mediterranean.
This is an expedition destination for those with a taste for adventure. The scenery is outstanding and some of the paths exposed and rocky. Groups will generally be able to operate independently but will need closer supervision on the more exposed sections of path. There is an option to stay in mountain refuges or camp near them and cook in the area outside the huts.
Easily accessible by low cost airlines from a number of UK airports to Nice, then a ferry to Bastia/ Calvi/Ile Rousse. Corsica offers reliable in country transport, excellent basecamp facilities, good mapping and a superb network of long distance footpaths supported by regular mountain refuges and a superb rescue service with first class medical facilities on hand.
This expedition will be staffed by International Mountain Leaders / supported by an experienced Summer Mountain Leader or a Mountain Instructor.
