Meet the Team
We have been operating in the outdoor environment for over 40 years and this has allowed us to build up a network of over 50 similarly minded and experienced personnel. Being an industry leader in the running of DofE expeditions we do not need to advertise or scrabble around looking for instructors when we are busy, we have a waiting list of instructors who want to come and work for us.
Everyone who is in charge of a group has been vetted by a director of our company, they are trained and inducted by one of our senior instructors and are only put in charge of a group if they have:
- The proven soft skills required to work with young people with differing needs and requirements
- A passion for the standards of the DofE Award
- A holistic approach to individual development and a love and respect of the outdoor environment
- The appropriate MLTUK qualification and a working knowledge of the expedition areas they are operating in
All of our leaders hold Hill and Moorland Leader award as a minimum and most ( 95% ) hold the Mountain Leader Summer award whilst our overseas expeditions are managed by International Mountain Leader award holders supported by aspirants holding training on both winter and summer sections. Our leaders also hold an up to date level 2 First Aid certificate, are DBS checked to an enhanced level, have had references checked, hold a Child Safeguarding Certificate and are accredited to assess where applicable.
Coming from a diverse background of Teaching, The Police, The Military, Personal Development or a lifetime in the Outdoors industry they all bring unique skills which can be used in the development of the individuals and teams they are working with.

UK DofE
The Duke of Edinburgh's Award is a voluntary, non-competitive and uniquely individual program of activities for anyone aged between 14 and 24.
