Specialising in walking expeditions at all levels of the award our DofE expedition services are second to none.
After 40 years of being active in the outdoors and 15 years of running DofE expeditions for groups our knowledge of all of the expedition areas of the UK is second to none. We know every route that the groups will walk intimatly, no matter how the team plan them, we have risk assessed them all and update those risk assessments after every expedition. We know how to give guidance on setting a route in any area that ensures it is appropriate to the ability of the group, that will ensure they are enjoyably challenged and give them a real feeling of isolation whilst ensuring safety at all times.
We visit and check every campsite annualy , we know the owners and in some cases are granted sole use on the nights we are there. We know the best spots for wild camping where it is permitted and have unique agreements with local farmers that allow us to use sites that no other company has access to.
Our group equipment is supplied by Access Expeditions, the leaders in DofE equipment, it is checked and cleaned after every use before being issued to another group.
Our leaders are all qualified to a minimum of Hill and Moorland Leader with over 90% holding the Summer Mountain Leader Award. We never put trainees in charge of a group and never train a group on less than a one leader to one group basis till we are confident the group is safe to operate on an independent basis.
We uphold the standards and the 20 conditions of the DofE at all times but ensure they do not become barriers to safety and enjoyment.
