Annabel joined Wild Country Consultants in 2019 after spending over a decade working in humanitarian response and international development. Having worked in some of the toughest locations in the world such as DRC, Ethiopia, Haiti and Afghanistan, she is used to working under pressure and in stressful conditions. Having previously worked as a youth worker, Annabel is particularly committed to supporting young people to experience the outdoors for the first time, building their confidence in their own ability, and supporting them to overcome challenges. She has a passion for the outdoors which is infectious, not just supporting people to climb their first mountain, but imparting a wider respect for nature through a solid knowledge of flora and fauna, upland usage, conversation and mountain folklore. She is currently working towards her winter mountain leader, paddlesports leader and rock climbing instructor awards.
